The most famous Tirupati temple is situated here at southeastern part of Andhra Pradesh and its in Chittoor District. This is the most famous temple where people come here to take blessings across the world, it’s the abode of Hindu God “Venkateshwara”. Tirupati is more famous specially for the venkateshwara temple here where there are holy tirumala hills which is at the height of 860 metres. This is the most visited temples throughout India, it draws millions of people per year and its known for being the busiest pilgrimage center. People throng this place around the year.

Climate of Tirupati :
The temperature here is quite a bit high during summers that is 42-45 degrees Celsius and during winter its quite chilling and you enjoy the climate that is from 10-18 degrees Celsius. The summer here start in march till june.

the place is known for having temples here. The temples of Tirupati as well as Tirumala are famous with tourists and their names are Govindaraja, Padmavati Temple, Swamy Temple, Alamelu Temple and many more. But these are the main visited temples with people. Tirupati

» Kodanda Rama Swamy Temple:This is one of the best temple with great architectural layout. It has Lord Rama, Sita and Lakhsman in a beautiful form inside the temple. The temple is very central in the city and you can see Lord AnjaneySwamy is seen near the foot of Rama. You get prasadam daily specially to pilgrims.

Kapila Theertham which is Lord Shiva Shrine is the only one shiva shrine in whole of Tirupati. The temple is beautified by waterfall near the temple, this temple is specially dedicated to Lord Shiva & Parvati.

» ISKCON Lord Krishna Temple : - This temple has been recently renovated and has an amazing designs of its architecture. The tower of the temple has the color gold and white. The decoration in the inside of the temple are also very attractive and eye-catching. The carvings of various gods are simply marvelous and unique. The temple is decorated with glass painting showing Lord Krishna in his playful best. And the ceilings of the temple have also been decorated in Tanjore Art. The pillar are wonderfully done up with Ten Avatars of Lord Vishnu in it. Prabhupada’s idol is also kept inside the temple. Outside of temple, there is park with wonderfully decorated ponds, fountains and varieties of flowers and it also has Krishna Leela idols in it. There is also Gaushala, to feed the cows with grass. The temple is situated in the middle while going to the Tirumala Hills.

» Avanakshamma Temple-42 kms from Tirupathi, :
Avanakshammais only 42 kms from Tirupati temple. The temple here are situated to each other only a few kilometers away from each other. There is Karvetinagaram which is 40 kms from Tirupati. There are various other temples which are separated to each other by 2-10 kilometers of the distance.

At the foothills of Tirumala hill there is a small Lord Vishnu temple. This place also attracts a lots of tourists because at the entrance of the temple it has Giant Nadhekeshwar Statue.

Getting to Tirupati :

» By Air - There are daily flights to and fro from Hyderabad, Tirupati and New Delhi through Indian Airlines and Air Deccan has flights on a daily basis between Hyderabad, Vizag, Bangalore and Tirupati.

» By Rail - In South Central Railways, Tirupati is a major Junction, the Indian railways operates daily trains which are direct from metropolitan cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and many other major stations.

» By Road - the roadway passes from Renigunta through National Highway NH 205. the major roads are accessible from here.
