An Overview of Hyderabad :
Hyderabad, the city of great Indian civilization is not only one of the oldest civilized places but also the next sought after place for Information Technology today. As we know, Microsoft has one of its main overseas offices here. This city was founded by ancient rulers namely Muhammad Qutab Shah and Qutb Shahi Dynasty. Hyderabad has very friendly people they are commonly called as Hyderabadis. The city has some of the oldest of monuments and civilizations. Hyderabad’s twin city of Secunderabad together today is known for its geographical size. It’s the 5th largest throughout India. Its also famous for its mosques, colorful bazaars and also minarets.
Climate of Hyderabad :
Hyderabad boosts of extreme climatic conditions, that is, it has very hot summers and chilling winters. The average temperatures here during summers are around 30-40 degrees centigrade and during winters the climate is between 14-22 degrees centigrade. The overall rainfall in this city is about 89 centimeters.
Tourist Attractions of Hyderabad :
» Charminar -The great monument has beautifully designed columns that is why the name “Charminar”. It was built by one of the mughal emperors of that times, his name was Muhammad Quli. This is one of the major tourist attractions of Hyderabad. The monument has 4 each 56 m high minarets which are divided by arches which are quite wide in shape and are plastered by lime & mortar. The place is open to visitors around the year and the second floor of Charminar has one of the oldest mosques of the city.
» Golconda Fort - This is one of the famous forts of the city, founded in the late 13th century. This was the capital of the Qutub Sahi Dynasty during mughal raj period in the year 1525. this is a huge fort having many housing complexes, ancient relics of palaces and also assembly halls, finest royal gardens with exotic varieties of flowers and the likes, it has arsenals and Darbar Hall, these are one of the best features of this prime hall. The Darbar hall gives an amazing sneak view of both the twin cities of Secunderabad as well Hyderabad. This is also most visited places for tourists.
» Mecca Masjid - This is also one of the important and must see destinations constructed in the year 1614 by Abdula Qutb Shah and later the completion work was done under the reign of Aurangzeb, the mughal emperor. The name Mecca Masjid because some of the bricks are made from the soil of Mecca which is one of the holiest places for muslims.
» The Salar Jung Museum - The name Salar Jung Museum because it has the world collections of the some of the finest around 35,000 artifacts and art designs and objects collected by Salar Jung III who was the former prime minister for Nizams mainly of Hyderabad. The museum possess some of the finest collections of oil paintings, marble sculptures, carpets, miniature paintings, old clocks, ivory products and many other objects which are linked to different sects and religions. The best place to see antiques of ruler times.
» Quli Qutub Sahi Tombs - These are not just Tombs, but great significance that they have some of the great great architectural skills designing the tombs. The seven kings of Qutub Sahi dynasty is buried here and mainly visited by the tourists for their architectural sense of beauty and carvings.
Getting to Hyderabad :
» By Air - you can get to Hyderabad city centre just 8km drive from Hyderabad Airport and is mainly connected to varied international destinations especially the flights to Middle East Countries and very well connected to Indian cities and towns also.
» By Rail - The hyderabadi city has 3 main junctions the names are Nampaly, Secunderabad and Kacheguda. This 3 stations have mainly express trains to main metros like that of Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai and Thiruananthapuram.
» By Road - The road way is very well connected to main cities of Kolkata, Mumbai and Nagpur. You can take up a privately owned bus service or go on your own through the state roadways map.
